Following up with this week's City of Music, featuring S. Carey - it should be noted that there were ten cameras among the entire production crew. It's difficult to grasp how much work goes into production, even a small one alike this requires a lot of hand's on input from many people of different skillsets. With that said, I shot part of this 'Behind the Scene of City of Music: S. Carey' video, which hopefully gives a viewer a dose of the experience behind the lens.
Another week, another City of Music right? Well, right and wrong - this week's feature just escalated the MPLS.tv to a whole new level with this brilliant performance by S. Carey. So in other words, yeah it's another City of Music video, but I think this just raised the bar.
Not only does Prof of the Stophouse Music Group put out some of the best hip-hop in Twin Cities, but they also know how to put on one helluva show. Their performance on November 17th at the Varsity Theater simply defined what direction they're headed. They sold out the show by 10 PM and electrified the building with some fan favorite tracks along with new content as well.
Today, we have a live edit of the song, 'Elephant,' which was second angled by Marcos Juarez-Gosselin. Give this video a view, but make sure it's in 720p so you can appreciate just how packed this show was.
City of Music is a division of MPLS.TV, which seeks up and coming artists/bands from the Twin Cities area to collaborate and create music videos. In the past, I'd seen a few City of Music edits along with random content from MPLS.TV, so I decided to reach out and see where I could contribute. Well, it worked out for the better as I had the opportunity to film the most recent City of Music video - alongside other videographers.
This week's City of Music feature spotlights local artist, Alicia Wiley as her band performs their single 'Half Gone' from the upcoming album Both Sides, which releases on 12/2.
